Dear Parents,
The Year 9 Extended Stay experience at our Wambana Campus on the Yorke Peninsula is an exciting initiative designed to meet the specific needs of adolescent boys. It is a key element of our Middle Years Program and provides a thrilling opportunity for learning for boys in Year 9. It will have long lasting impact on learning.
The central focus of this school is to develop boys into men of integrity who commit to excellence in their own lives and in their contribution to the world. We aim to develop the whole person, within and through community.
PAC is the first school in South Australia to establish an Extended Stay Program. It is a sustained experiential learning program providing a rigorous academic curriculum and innumerable opportunities for personal development and authentic leadership.
The initiative is based on sound research into boys’ education and a thorough investigation of existing programs in Australia. I am indebted to Dale Hobbs and Ken Watson for their commitment to this project. I believe it is an outstanding program which will help to fulfil our vision to be a world class school for boys.
I am sure you will find this website Information and Guide for Parents useful and informative. This program offers your son a unique adventure of learning and self discovery. We are delighted to provide him with this wonderful opportunity.
